Established in the 1890s just north of the University of Texas campus, Hyde Park is one of Austin's original suburbs. Shaded sidewalks lead past Craftsman bungalows, Victorians and cottages, many within local historic districts, along with neighborhood cafés, Shipe Park and the Elisabet Ney Museum.
